PDP Governors’ Forum Chairman Preaches Tolerance and Unity

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, emphasized the importance of unity, tolerance, and mutual respect as essential elements for Nigeria’s development during a meeting with 2023 Labour Party Presidential Candidate and former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, and his delegation.

During the gathering, Governor Mohammed, who serves as Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, highlighted that Nigeria needs national cohesion more than ever before. He called on leaders and citizens to prioritize the nation’s interests above personal and political aspirations. The Governor reaffirmed his dedication to promoting unity and combating division, noting that patriotism is fundamental to securing a promising future for the country.

Governor Mohammed expressed appreciation for Mr. Obi’s visit and acknowledged his commitment to nation-building and inclusive leadership. For his part, Mr. Obi explained that the purpose of his visit was to offer condolences to Governor Mohammed for recent losses, discuss national issues, and strengthen consultations with key stakeholders.

The visiting delegation included former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Nenadi Usman, and other senior officials. Following their meeting, Governor Mohammed accompanied Mr. Obi and his entourage to pay respects to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji (Dr) Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, at his palace.
